Feeling stuck? Welcome to the Club.

Getting stuck is something we all experience. If that’s you, you’re not alone.

  • Maybe you’re feeling antsy about the next step of your career or business

  • Maybe you’ve “made” it: you have everything you thought you wanted, but something still feels out of alignment

  • Maybe you’re ready for a new direction, but the decisions and effort required to get there feel paralyzing

People who love chasing goals naturally get antsy about feeling stuck. But “stuckness” is a natural cycle — the winter that comes before spring. Embracing the season with wholehearted intention determines the fruit the next phase will bring.

This substack is a community of leaders, entrepreneurs, and ambitious achievers who won’t wallow in stagnancy. We may feel stuck, but we’re ready to do the hard work to move forward.

Getting unstuck us rarely a knowledge problem. It’s a clarity problem, one that requires understanding what you actually want, who you intend to become, and what needs to change to get there.

This substack offers reflections to get started. It contains my no-bullshit hot takes as a long-time HR leader, mixed with perspectives from a wide variety of fields like psychology, neuroscience, business, philosophy, and personal development.

More importantly, subscribers can expect lessons I’ve learned helping leaders and coaching clients get unstuck — techniques that integrate intellect, emotion, and intuition to help you move forward.

Meet Jason, Club Member & Creator 👋

After building Uber in its early days, I’ve spent a decade-plus in People/HR leadership roles scaling unicorn startups. I’ve coached leaders at all levels and advised the C-suite around hiring, org design, and career decisions.

A Stanford/Harvard grad and former overachiever, my own stuck-unstuck cycle has taken me down winding paths: working abroad, leaving strategy consulting, becoming an entrepreneur, getting an MBA, working at IDEO, pursuing a coaching certification. Through it all, I’ve learned the more I slow down to listen, the easier it becomes to find contentment, move forward, and discover better versions of me.

I’ve recently felt antsy, like my own career is evolving yet again. This next phase will realign my work with where I’m most passionate: helping people build careers, businesses, and lives that excite them. This substack reflects my commitment to discovering what’s next.

To my fellow club members: thanks for joining me. Let’s do this together.
