Coaching Overview

As an executive coach, I work with a limited number of 1-on-1 private clients. Coaching sessions are typically purchased in a package, designed to build momentum and accountability over an extended period working together.

If you’re committed to getting unstuck and want a partner to help, email jason@veythe.com to get started.

My Coaching Clients

I work with ambitious achievers who feel stuck. On the outside, they may look like they have everything they would want. But internally, they know intuitively that something feels out of alignment or that a new chapter lies ahead, and they are eager to figure out what comes next.

Prospective clients who feel “stuck” can take many forms. Examples include:

  • Executives and senior leaders who have met every goal, but found the satisfaction short-lived

  • Rising high performers realizing what got them this far won’t help them move forward

  • Founders and operators carrying more than the business plan or org chart shows

  • Accomplished achievers weighing their work and ambitions against building a life they love

My clients don’t need more books, frameworks, or advice, because the problems they face can rarely be solved through strategy or logic alone. Rather, they are clarity problems, solved by aligning their intellect, emotion, and intuition to understand what they actually want, who they intend to become, and what needs to change to get there.

Ideal clients know they need a partner to help them move forward on their own terms, with no agenda for their work and life other than the one they set for themselves.

If you’re ready to work with a coach who asks challenging questions and holds you accountable to your answers, let’s talk.

My Coaching Approach

I work as a co-pilot, not an advisor. My coaching is built on the premise that clients already hold more answers than they realize. My job is to ask questions that hold up a mirror, revealing the future self they want to become, and how the decisions they’re making today will or won’t help them get there.

Importantly, the primary goal is forward motion. My questions and observations are direct, meaning where I see inconsistency, avoidance, or blockers, I name it. Clients who want to be challenged, not managed, get the most out of our work together.

The real work happens between sessions, where clients address their own limiting beliefs and begin living in accordance with the person they’re becoming. I’ve consistently found that where self-honesty is paired with commitment, progress always follows.

Clients should expect progress to feel non-linear. Much like fitness training or practicing any new skill, growth measured in months, not days. A difficult week, a lapsed habit, or a session that raises more questions than it answers is not evidence that the work isn’t working — often, it’s evidence that it is.

Where relevant, I may offer frameworks and observations informed by my coaching training and human capital experience in high-growth startups. I also draw from mindfulness, somatic, holistic, and creative design-thinking practices, if I feel the client is open and would benefit. However, I rely most of all on inquiry-led challenge and reflection: my primary focus is cultivating a non-judgmental space for clients to draw their own conclusions and discover paths forward for themselves.

Meet the Coach

Jason has spent 12+ years as a People, HR, and organizational development leader, after beginning his career in strategy consulting — a role in which he felt stuck himself. He’s seen company culture tested through the early days of Uber, and has since held multiple leadership roles scaling growth-stage technology startups. He earned his B.S. from Stanford University and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where his academic interests ranged across business, leadership, technology, social sciences, organizational behavior, and personal development.

Jason’s experience is varied: he’s led a globally distributed People department, built analytics and HR teams at scaling startups, interned as a designer at IDEO, and started his own business as an entrepreneuring restrauteur. In addition to coaching, he now works as a Chief of Staff working behind the curtain with his CEO and executive team at a high-growth technology company.

Jason’s perspectives draw from his experience shaping philosophy around performance, hiring, compensation, and career development, advising C-suite decisions around people, reorganizations, mergers, and layoffs. He’s built leadership development programs and nurtured high-performance cultures at multiple companies, coaching leaders at every level from first-time managers to the C-suite both individually and in group settings.

As a self-described “recovering overachiever / work-in-progress”, Jason’s coaching philosophy has been shaped by navigating his own uneven path of getting stuck and unstuck — experiences that led him to seek an International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited coaching certification. He is fueled by a passionate belief that we can have it all: i.e., that everyone can find fulfillment in their work while building a life they love.
